Notes
Notes:
- The last 1:06 of "Stagger Lee" had a substantial drop in the gain in the left channel , this problem is from the master. I have carried out some restoration work and don't think it sounds too bad now.
- There is a cut of approximately 41 seconds in "Dear Mr. Fantasy" This is common to the other circulating sources. It has been patched with audio technica atm 11/ (2) nakamichi 300 + cp4, shnid 126180 taped by Chasingwilma (aka Mark Horvath)

Wow. Definitely worth hearing twice!!! Or more!!!
This show reminds me of my very first Dead show at the Omni in Atlanta in '87 & exactly why I dearly LOVE the music the Grateful Dead created in concert.
...
it is unmistakable. So beautiful that you feel like your soul is dancing and soaring high above your body.!! In between '87 & ''95 I was able to see Grateful Dead a little more than 70 times.. Unfortunately I never got to see them at Merriweather Pavillion although I have seen a number of shows there. I'm sure most everyone there had a great time. I moved from Atlanta to the DC area in '93. When they tore down the Omni to make way for the Olympics I almost cried!! I saw my very first concert there when I was in the 6th grade. ACDC in 1979. And went on to see more shows there that I can't remember them all. I'd have to make a list. Same with the Pavillion in Gainesville, VA. It was Nissan Pavillion at first. Now it's JiffyLube Live. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Ok, Review. I don't really like comparing different versions of songs. Different "eras" have different versions of some of the same songs. I don't like doing it or saying it but April 1st, 1990 at the Omni the encore is "It's All Over Now Baby Blue." I never really liked that version. My brother loved it but it just idk didn't do it for me. Because of THAT I almost skipped the version here. But OMG!!! The version here is so so much better to my ears!!! It's never been one of my favorites anyway but JERRY really does a great job & actually MAKES ME LIKE THIS SONG when b4 I had just kinda tolerated. Review☆☆☆☆☆☆ They open with "Dancin in the Streets" and this isn't the Cornell 77 marathon Dancin with the cool guitar effects but I personally like it more cuz it's not so long that it gets boring. But that guitar special effect does shoe up in "Dupree's Diamond Blues" & it works well for it & they do a very solid rendition. "Walkin Blues" is next & this is probably the best version of it I've ever heard although I'll admit I haven't listened to a lot of early 80's YET. After hearing this gem I'll be fishin for sure! "Jack-a-Roe" is frickin awesome! I've always loved this tune & Jerry doesn't disappoint even for a second. Then comes "My Brother Esau" & "Stagger Lee" & both are solid & fun AND things really pick up speed with "Let it Grow" & at first I thought they would close the set with it but Jer decided to put a"Keep Your Day Job" in for good measure I☆★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Second Set- Scarlet/Fire, Playin> Uncle John's Band, While the Scarlet Begonias & Fire on the Mountain are both good separately but the "weave" from one to the other just isn't there. Which kinda surprised/disappointed me. But the "Playin" gets REALLY GOOD!!! Jerry throws down. Well everyone throws down!!And Uncle J's is OK. I'll have to finish later.
